WASHING SYSTEM ER-WD223™

  • ER-WD223

    Automatic system to support the manual washing of flexible endoscopes

ER-WD223™

Automated sink designed to support the manual washing of flexible endoscopes (gastroscopes, colonoscopes, bronchoscopes etc.)

The ER-WD223™ Endoscope Sink is a Class I medical device designed to support healthcare personnel during the manual washing of flexible endoscopes. Thanks to its advanced technology, the device ensures complete automation and traceability of the endoscopes’ washing steps, relieving operators from regularly performing repetitive actions that do not completely avoid risks of error which can cause inflammations and osteoarticular diseases.

ER-WD223™ washes the instruments automatically in a fast and safe manner, allowing healthcare personnel to concentrate exclusively on the external cleaning of the instruments and the brushing of endoscopes channels. The device is compliant with EN ISO 15883 part.5 annex F for the removal of microbial biofilm.

The main operations that the ER-WD223™ is able to perform automatically include:
• Double-controlled leak test performed at start-up and throughout the washing cycle, to prevent the possibility of instrument infiltration;

Automatic detergent dosage: thanks to its internal pump, the device is able to automatically dose the right amount of concentrated detergent to be diluted in the tank, reducing the risk of waste and overdosage which can be harmful for the instruments;

Enzymatic detergents validated for the removal of microbial biofilm according to EN ISO 15883 part.5 annex F:
• Amity Viruzyme

• Automatic water dosage: the system is able to autonomously manage the filling and draining of water in the basin, automatically dosing the correct amount of water required for each phase of the cycle;

• Detersion with forced recirculation and vortex insertion system into the washing basin, to ensure complete cleansing of the instruments;

• Flushing of mixed decontaminant/detergent inside all endoscope channels through a special connection kit. The automatic rinsing and purging of endoscope channels will also be performed;

• Complete traceability of cycle data is ensured by paper report through the integrated printer, download of the data through USB port, Ethernet (optional) or MDG Datatrace dedicated software (optional);

• 4″ colour display that guides the operator step by step throughout all cycle phases. The monitor displays all the necessary information regarding the status of the machine: cycle phase in execution and the time remaining until the end of the cycle and the single phase;

• Standard dimensions: W800xD750xH1150 mm, this system is completely customizable on specific request of the customer.

Equipment

• Activated carbon filter for disposing of chemical fumes through integrated forced aspiration (optional);
• Standard Barcode reader or Integrated barcode (optional) or RFID (optional) for reading instrument ID and operator ID;

ER-WD223/TEE™

Automated system designed to support the disinfection of TEE probes

The ER-WD223/TEE™ sink is a class I medical device designed to support healthcare personnel during the process of manual disinfection of echo-transesophageal (TEE) probes.
Thanks to its advanced technology, this device ensures complete traceability and automation of the disinfection steps, allowing the operator to perform other tasks while the machine autonomously carries out the assigned cycle.
Designed as an alternative to manual in-tray disinfection, ER-WD223/TEE™ is able to automatically manage the instrument disinfection in a fast and safe manner, using the correct amount of peracetic acid powder.
The device is validated according to EN ISO 15883 part.4 annex F for the removal of microbial biofilm.

Main features:
• Automatic disinfection: as an alternative to manual in-tray disinfection, the device is able to perform the disinfection cycle autonomously using the correct amount of peracetic acid-based disinfectant and drain it once the cycle is complete;

Disinfectant powder validated for the removal of microbial biofilm according to UNI EN ISO 15883 part. 4 annex F:
MDD HMC 9

• Disinfection with forced recirculation and vortex insertion into the basin, to ensure complete disinfection of the instrumentation;

• Automatic water dosage: this device is able to automatically load the right amount of water needed for every step of the washing cycle and drain it once the step has been completed;

• Automatic rinsing: once the disinfection process is complete, the system is able to autonomously dose the correct amount of water needed for the rinsing phase, load it into the basin and drain int once the step has been completed;

• Complete traceability of cycle data is ensured through the integrated printer, data download via USB port, Ethernet connection (optional) or via MDG Datatrace dedicated software (optional);

• 4″ colour display that guides the operator step by step throughout all cycle phases. The monitor displays all the necessary information regarding the status of the machine: cycle phase in execution and the time remaining until the end of the cycle and the single phase;

• Dedicated support: The device is equipped with a practical support for TEE probes that holds the body of the probe outside the washing basin, preventing any contact with the disinfectant liquids;

• Optional support for pre-washing phases: through this enhancement, the device is implemented with an automatic pre-washing phase, allowing it to both clean and disinfect not only echo-transesophageal (TEE) probes but also flexible endoscopes.

The machine will be able to automatically dose the right amount of concentrated detergent to be diluted in the basin through an internal membrane pump, thus reducing the risk of waste and overdosage that may damage the instruments.
