ER-221™
Medical device designed to support the manual washing steps of flexible endoscopes
ER-221™ is a class I medical device designed to support health care staff members during endoscopes pre-washing steps, to ensure complete traceability and automation of the process. This device allows operators to save time and supports them during the instrument’s manual washing steps. These usual procedures involve repetitive actions and do not completely avoid risks of error which can cause inflammations and osteoarticular diseases.
ER-221™ is a compact system that can be located upon the sink or hung on the wall using a specific wall bracket.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
Through its wide 7” HD touch screen display, ER-221™ helps the operator during all phases, guiding him step by step through graphic messages on the display.
Leak test is performed at the start of the washing cycle to check the integrity of the endoscope. To do so, the machine alternates vacuum and pressure phases and then maintains a positive pressure inside of the endoscope for the whole cycle, avoiding the risks of instrument infiltrations.
Even in case leaks are later detected inside the endoscope, after alerting the operator, the ER-221™ is able to keep the instrument under positive pressure.
Automatic detergent dosage thanks to the internal pump, that doses the right quantity of detergent avoiding risks of waste and overdosage.
Automatic rinsing after washing the endoscope channels to eliminate detergent leftovers.
Complete traceability through paper report or data transfer between ER-221™ and hospital server through Ethernet connection (dedicated software – DataTrace Mdg).
Practical and fast use through barcode, manual controls or RFID reader.
The ER-221™ is designed to automate the cleaning process of instruments, ensuring a fast and safe cleaning procedure. With this system, the operator is only required to clean the external surface of the endoscopes.
